Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/4 ounce active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

  • Mix water and yeast in a small bowl.
  • Add all of the dry ingredients in a medium to large bowl.
  • Mix the yeast and dry ingredients together.
  • Knead the dough for five minutes.
  • Place the dough in a large bowl greased lightly with olive oil.
  • Divide the dough into 2 pieces and form loaves.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the loaves rise for 30 minutes.
  • Bake until golden brown.
