Ingredients
- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 (1 lb. 1 oz.) can corn, drained
Method
- Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Blend milk and egg.
- Add gradually to dry ingredients.
- Stir in the well drained corn and drop by tablespoon into deep fat (375°).
- Fry until golden brown, 4 to 8 minutes, depending on the size.
- Drain on paper towels (optional). Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
