Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 c. mixed dried fruit, chopped
  • 2/3 c. mixed nuts, chopped
  • 1/3 c. sesame seed
  • 1/3 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. raw brown rice, cooked
  • 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted

Method

  • Preheat oven
  • to
  • 350°.
  • Heat
  • the oil in a skillet and saute the
  • onion,
  • fruit, nuts and sesame seed until the onion is translucent,
  • about
  • 5 minutes.
  • Add the cloves and salt to the onion mixture and stir.
  • Add the rice and mix well.
  • Place the rice in a buttered casserole dish and pour the butter over all. Bake
  • for

  • 20
  • minutes
  • to heat through.
  • Serve immediately.
