Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 c. mixed dried fruit, chopped
- 2/3 c. mixed nuts, chopped
- 1/3 c. sesame seed
- 1/3 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. raw brown rice, cooked
- 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
Method
- Preheat oven
- to
- 350°.
- Heat
- the oil in a skillet and saute the
- onion,
- fruit, nuts and sesame seed until the onion is translucent,
- about
- 5 minutes.
- Add the cloves and salt to the onion mixture and stir.
- Add the rice and mix well.
- Place the rice in a buttered casserole dish and pour the butter over all. Bake
- for
- 15
- to
- 20
- minutes
- to heat through.
- Serve immediately.
- Serves 4.
