Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1 tsp. favorite flavoring
- 5 eggs
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Cream sugar, shortening and butter; beat until creamy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
- Add flour alternately with milk, adding a small amount and beating.
- This is important.
- Add flavoring, beat until creamy.
- Bake in greased tube pan at 325° for 1 hour; increase heat to 350° and bake 30 minutes longer.
- Do not preheat oven.
