Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup Salad Oil
- 2-1/2 cups Sugar
- 5 whole Eggs
- 3 cups Cake Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 8 ounces, weight Coconut
- 1 teaspoon Coconut Flavoring
Method
- Cream together oil and sugar for 10 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt twice. Beat in alternately with milk. Stir in coconut and flavoring. Pour batter into a fluted tube pan. Place in a cold oven. Set temperature at 325 degrees F and bake for 1 hour 25 minutes.
