Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cup Salad Oil
  • 2-1/2 cups Sugar
  • 5 whole Eggs
  • 3 cups Cake Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 8 ounces, weight Coconut
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut Flavoring

Method

  • Cream together oil and sugar for 10 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt twice. Beat in alternately with milk. Stir in coconut and flavoring. Pour batter into a fluted tube pan. Place in a cold oven. Set temperature at 325 degrees F and bake for 1 hour 25 minutes.
