Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup Evaporated Milk
- 1-1/3 cup Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
- 4 Egg Yolks, Slightly Beaten
- 3/4 cups Butter
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Shredded Coconut
- 1-1/2 cup Chopped Pecans
Method
- Combine the evaporated milk, sugar, cornstarch, egg yolks, and butter in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened about 8 to 12 minutes. Once you are done cooking the above ingredients, remove the pan from the heat and add vanilla, coconut and chopped pecans. Cool the frosting until it is firm and easy to spread.
