Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. salt
- 5 c. flour
- 1 c. warm water
Method
- Melt butter for the top of rolls when you bake them.
- Soften dry yeast in warm water.
- Scald milk; add sugar, salt and shortening.
- Add flour and mix well.
- Add softened yeast and eggs; beat well.
- Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
- Turn out onto floured board and knead.
- Place in greased bowl to let rise until double.
- Make into rolls and let rise in greased baking pans. Bake at 350° until brown.
