Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. Karo light or dark corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
  • 1 1/2 c. large walnut pieces

Method

  • Heat oven to 400°.
  • Combine eggs, sugar, flour, syrup, butter and vanilla; blend well.
  • Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  • Arrange walnuts on top.
  • Bake in lower third of oven at 400° for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 350°.
  • Bake an additional 35 to 45 minutes or until center appears set.
  • Cool completely.
