Ingredients

  • 3 pkg. yeast
  • 1/3 c. warm water
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • flour
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 Tbsp. butter

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Scald cream. Add sugar, salt and oil. Cool to lukewarm.
  • Add beaten eggs and yeast dissolved in warm water.
  • Beat and add flour gradually until of kneading consistency. Knead on floured board for 5 minutes.
  • Let rise in warm place. Divide dough. Roll out as a rectangle and spread half with 1/4 of the butter and cinnamon mixture. Fold other half over and repeat process.
  • Roll to 1-inch thick and cut in strips, 1 x 5 x 6-inch.
  • Twist and place on cookie sheet. Let rise.
  • Bake at 400° for 12 or 15 minutes. When cool, frost with powdered sugar icing.
  • Makes 4 dozen rolls.
