Ingredients
- 3 pkg. yeast
- 1/3 c. warm water
- 2 c. sour cream
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
- flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- Scald cream. Add sugar, salt and oil. Cool to lukewarm.
- Add beaten eggs and yeast dissolved in warm water.
- Beat and add flour gradually until of kneading consistency. Knead on floured board for 5 minutes.
- Let rise in warm place. Divide dough. Roll out as a rectangle and spread half with 1/4 of the butter and cinnamon mixture. Fold other half over and repeat process.
- Roll to 1-inch thick and cut in strips, 1 x 5 x 6-inch.
- Twist and place on cookie sheet. Let rise.
- Bake at 400° for 12 or 15 minutes. When cool, frost with powdered sugar icing.
- Makes 4 dozen rolls.
