Ingredients
- 4 1/4 to 4 3/4 c. flour
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- raisins
Method
- Combine 1 1/2 cups flour and yeast.
- Heat milk, sugar and butter until melted (warm not hot).
- Add milk mixture to flour and eggs.
- Beat with electric mixer 30 seconds; scrape sides, then high speed 3 minutes.
- Add remaining flour (soft dough).
- Knead on floured board until smooth, 3 to 5 minutes.
- Put in lightly greased bowl.
- Cover; let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- Shape to form 2 balls.
- Cover; rest 10 minutes.
