Ingredients

  • 4 1/4 to 4 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • raisins

Method

  • Combine 1 1/2 cups flour and yeast.
  • Heat milk, sugar and butter until melted (warm not hot).
  • Add milk mixture to flour and eggs.
  • Beat with electric mixer 30 seconds; scrape sides, then high speed 3 minutes.
  • Add remaining flour (soft dough).
  • Knead on floured board until smooth, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Put in lightly greased bowl.
  • Cover; let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  • Shape to form 2 balls.
  • Cover; rest 10 minutes.
