Ingredients
- 1 cake compressed yeast or 1 pkg. dry
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. milk
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 tsp. margarine
- 1 egg
- 6 c. sifted flour
Method
- Soften yeast in warm water; warm milk and melt margarine in it.
- Add sugar, salt and 1 cup of flour when the liquids are lukewarm.
- Beat well.
- Add egg and yeast and beat well.
- Add remaining flour or enough to make a soft dough.
- Knead until smooth and satiny or about 10 minutes.
