Ingredients

  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • 3/4 c. nuts (if desired)
  • 1 stick oleo, melted
  • 1 c. sugar
  • milk
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Method

  • Mix flour,
  • 1/2 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, oil and enough milk
  • to
  • make
  • dough.
  • Roll
  • or
  • pat
  • out to 1/4-inch thickness. Spread
  • with melted oleo. Sprinkle with remaining 2 teaspoons cinnamon,
  • 1/2
  • cup
  • sugar,
  • raisins
  • and nuts. Roll dough jelly roll
  • style.
  • Cut in about 1-inch slices.
  • Lay in oiled biscuit pan.
  • Bake at
  • 400°
  • until
  • done. Mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar and water and pour over biscuits as a glaze.
