Ingredients

  • 5 1/4 ounces ground meat
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 onion peeled and chopped
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • olive oil
  • bacon
  • 1 ciabatta loaf
  • lettuce
  • spinach
  • arugula
  • Parmesan cheese grated

Method

  • In a bowl, add the ground meat, egg yolk, mustard, breadcrumbs, and onion. Season with with a pinch of salt and black pepper and mix well.
  • Shape into small balls.
  • In a saucepan, heat olive oil and cook the meatballs for 12 to 14 minutes until golden brown on all sides. With 3 minutes before the meatballs are done, add the bacon slices.
  • Slice the ciabatta loaf in halves. Add lettuce, spinach and arugula, and drizzle with olive oil. Add the meatballs and bacon, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Close the ciabatta bread, cut into half, and serve.
