Ingredients
- cucumbers
- 7 Tbsp. salt
- 1 qt. water
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 1 tsp. curry powder
- 1/4 tsp. ground mustard
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric
Method
- Cut cucumbers in chunks or slice.
- Soak in salt water 5 hours or overnight 7
- tablespoons
- salt to 2 1/2 quarts water. Covers about same
- amount
- as
- vinegar
- mixture.
- Boil
- water, vinegar, sugar and
- spices.
- After
- liquid
- boils, add drained pickles and heat.
- Do not boil.
- Seal in hot jars.
