- 2 (16 oz.) cans pork and beans
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/2 c. (2 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 each: chopped bell pepper and onion (optional)
Method
- Combine first 7 ingredients in a lightly greased 2-quart shallow baking dish.
- Saute 1/2 chopped onion and bell pepper until cooked thoroughly.
- Add to first mixture.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour, stirring once.
- Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
- Yields 8 servings.
