Ingredients
- 1 beef chuck steak (1 1/2 to 2 lb.)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can (14 oz.) peeled Italian tomatoes, drained and chopped
- 1 Tbsp. fresh oregano or 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Trim fat from steak.
- Place in a shallow glass baking dish with plenty of space around meat.
- In a bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients.
- Spread over steak.
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes to one hour, until steak is tender.
- Slice at an angle and serve with tomato sauce from pan.
- This tastes great with roasted potatoes.
