Ingredients
- 4 hash brown patties, defrosted until limp
- 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 1/2 c. cheese, grated (Swiss, Cheddar or Jack)
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. milk
Method
- Preheat oven to broil.
- Grease 9-inch pie plate.
- Press hash browns to cover bottom and sides of plate.
- Salt and pepper lightly.
- Crisp under broiler 7 to 9 minutes.
- Crumble bacon over hash browns.
- Add 2 tablespoons diced onion if you wish.
- Spread cheese over bacon.
- Add milk to beaten eggs.
- Mix well and pour over cheese.
- Bake in 400° oven for 15 minutes, then turn oven down to 325° for 20 more minutes.
