Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 lb. frozen peas and carrots or other mixed vegetables
  • 2 lb. seasoned mashed potatoes
  • 2 pkg. brown gravy mix
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine

Method

  • In skillet, brown meat just until done. Drain off fat.
  • Place meat in large casserole dish.
  • Layer frozen vegetables over meat. Mix water with gravy mix; pour evenly over meat and vegetable layers.
  • Spread mashed potatoes over other layers. Dot with margarine, if desired.
  • Cover and bake in a 350° oven for 45 minutes.
  • Remove cover and bake an additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are slightly browned. Excellent one dish meal.
