Ingredients
- 5 eggs, separated
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. oil
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. walnuts, chopped
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour (self-rising)
- 1 c. coconut
Method
- Beat egg whites and set aside.
- Cream margarine, oil, sugar, egg yolks and vanilla.
- Add flour and milk alternately.
- Mix and add coconut and nuts.
- Fold in beaten egg whites.
- Pour batter into 3 (9-inch) pans.
- Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until cake tests done.
