Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread (remove crusts, if desired)
  • 3/4 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 pkg. frozen, chopped broccoli, cooked and drained
  • 2 c. diced, cooked ham
  • 6 slightly beaten eggs
  • 3 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • sesame seed

Method

  • Place 6 slices of bread in bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Reserve 1/2 cup cheese, then sprinkle remainder over the bread.
  • Add a layer of broccoli, then a layer of ham.
  • Layer remaining bread on top. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over bread and all. Top with sesame seed. Cover and refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.
