Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 12 cup softened margarine or 12 cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 7 tablespoons flour
  • 14 cup cocoa
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 6 beaten egg yolks
  • 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Cool Whip
  • shaved chocolate bar

Method

  • Crust:.
  • Mix crust ingredients together with mixer until crumbly and press into oblong baking dish.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minute or until lightly browned.
  • Cool.
  • Second layer:.
  • Mix ingredients together and spread carefully on crust.
  • Pudding:.
  • Combine sugar, flour, cocoa and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • Heat water and milk in a 6-quart pan over medium heat.
  • Slowly stir in sugar mixture.
  • Stir until completely mixed.
  • Add a little of this warm mixture to egg yolks to temper; pour back into pan.
  • Bring mixture to a boil stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add butter and vanilla and stir.
  • Pour over second layer.
  • Top with cool whip and shaved chocolate bar.
  • Refrigerate 6-8 hours before serving.
