Ingredients
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1/3 c. walnuts, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 egg, beaten with 1 Tbsp. water
- confectioners sugar
Method
- Thaw pastry for 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- On a floured surface or between two sheets of waxed paper, roll the sheet of puff pastry into a 14-inch square.
- In the center of the sheet, place chocolate chips, walnuts and butter.
- Pull pastry edges together.
- Twist and turn the ends together to seal "package".
- Smooth folds in dough.
- Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 425°.
- Let stand 10 minutes at least before cutting.
- Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
