Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1/3 c. walnuts, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 Tbsp. water
  • confectioners sugar

Method

  • Thaw pastry for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 425°.
  • On a floured surface or between two sheets of waxed paper, roll the sheet of puff pastry into a 14-inch square.
  • In the center of the sheet, place chocolate chips, walnuts and butter.
  • Pull pastry edges together.
  • Twist and turn the ends together to seal "package".
  • Smooth folds in dough.
  • Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Brush with beaten egg.
  • Bake for 20 minutes at 425°.
  • Let stand 10 minutes at least before cutting.
  • Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
