Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. skim milk
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 3/4 c. boiling water

Method

  • Cream first sugar and oleo.
  • Sift next three ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  • Pour into lightly greased 9-inch round cake pan.
  • Combine last sugars and cocoa. Sprinkle over batter.
  • Pour boiling water over all.
  • Bake 30-40 minutes in 350° oven.
  • When done, turn cake upside down while hot. Can be served hot or cold.
