Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 1/2 heaping Tbsp. flour
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping a little)
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Put sugar,
- flour,
- cocoa
- and 2 cups milk on in double boiler and
- bring to
- scalding point.
- Beat egg yolks and add other 1/2 cup milk;
- stir
- into
- hot mixture.
- When done, add butter and vanilla.
- Pour
- into crust.
- Top with meringue made from egg whites and brown.
