- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips, at room temperature
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- pecan halves, if desired
- whipped cream, if desired
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Combine first 5 ingredients; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips that have been allowed to reach room temperature and chopped pecans.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Arrange pecan halves on top, if desired. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until set.
- Cool.
- Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
