Ingredients

  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 c. Bisquick
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. cherry preserves
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar, sifted
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Cut cream cheese and margarine into Bisquick until crumbly. Blend in 1/3 cup milk.
  • Knead on floured surface.
  • On wax paper, roll dough into a 12 x 8-inch rectangle.
  • Turn onto greased baking sheet; remove paper.
  • Spread preserves down center of dough.
  • Make 2 1/2-inch cuts at 1-inch intervals on long sides.
  • Fold strips over filling.
  • Bake at 425° for 15 minutes or until brown.
