Ingredients

  • 3 pkg. ladyfingers
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. instant coffee
  • 6 eggs (2 whole and 4 yolks), beaten
  • 1 tsp. rum (optional)
  • 2 to 3 c. heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. confectioners sugar

Method

  • Line 9-inch spring-form pan (sides first); fill in holes. Beat cream and confectioners sugar in bowl; set aside.
  • Melt chocolate chips and add instant coffee; blend well.
  • Add beaten eggs and yolks.
  • Add rum and beat with electric beater.
  • Fold chocolate mixture into cream mixture.
  • Pour into pan and refrigerate.
