Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 8 oz. miniature marshmallows
  • 3 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 c. pecans, broken into pieces
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Use a heavy, large saucepan and bring the sugar and milk to a slow rolling boil, stirring constantly to keep milk from scorching.
  • Boil 8 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add marshmallows, chocolate chips and butter.
  • Stir until melted and blended well.
  • Add pecans and vanilla.
  • Spread on a large, ungreased pan and when cool, cut into squares.
