Ingredients

  • 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels, divided
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Method

  • Beat granulated sugar, butter and vanilla in a large mixer bowl until crumbly.
  • Beat in melted chocolate.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in remaining morsels.
  • Cover and chill just until firm.
  • Shape dough in 1 1/2-inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Cool for 2 minutes.
