Ingredients

  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 c. C and H brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 c. salad oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • C and H powdered sugar (about 1/2 c.)

Method

  • Melt chocolate; combine with brown sugar and oil.
  • Add eggs one at a time; beat well.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Add to chocolate mixture.
  • Stir in nuts.
  • Chill dough, then drop by teaspoonfuls into powdered sugar and roll to coat. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake in preheated 350° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Cool on rack.
  • Makes 4 dozen.
