Ingredients

  • 12 cup butter
  • 4 -6 baker's unsweetened chocolate squares (melted)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 -2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Method

  • 1.
  • In small bowl mix together flour and baking powder and salt.
  • 2.
  • In large bowl, mix together butter and chocolate until smooth.
  • Add sugar and mix again until smooth.
  • 3.
  • One at a time, add eggs to chocolate/sugar mixture, mixing till smooth between each egg addition.
  • Add vanilla and mix again until smooth.
  • 4.
  • Add flour mixture to chocolate mixture in large bowl, mix well.
  • Cover and chill completely.
  • 5.
  • Roll in small balls approximately 1 teaspoon size, and roll in powdered sugar.
  • Bake in a preheated oven set to 375 degrees for 9 to 10 minutes,.
