Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. mini chocolate chips

Method

  • Cream the butter and shortening.
  • Add sugar.
  • Add eggs singly, beating after each one.
  • Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
  • Add flour mixture alternately with milk.
  • Add flavoring.
  • Add chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Mix well with a wooden spoon.
  • Pour into greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.
  • Put in cold oven and bake at 325° for 90 minutes or until done.
