Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. solid shortening (Crisco)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- pinch of salt
- 6 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Method
- Stir flour, salt and baking soda in one bowl.
- With mixer, combine shortening, both sugars, eggs and vanilla in another bowl. Add flour mixture to shortening mixture, using a fork or spoon; do not use mixer.
- Add chocolate morsels.
- Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Makes 2 to 3 dozen cookies.
