Ingredients
- 8 or 9 in. pie crust
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 1 oz. squares of chocolate (unsweetened)
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk, undiluted
- 2 eggs
- few grains salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Place butter and chocolate in small saucepan and melt, stirring constantly.
- Pour mixture into a small bowl; add sugar, flour, milk, eggs, salt and vanilla.
- Beat mixture at moderate speed 5-7 minutes until thick and creamy (scrape bowl occasionally with spatula).
- Pour into unbaked pie crust and bake 40-45 minutes until filling is firm.
