Ingredients

  • 12 Oreos
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cut up dates
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 2 c. small marshmallows
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Crush Oreos; spread over bottom of an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Reserve
  • 1/4 cup for topping.
  • Bring dates and water to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
  • Add marshmallows and chopped
  • nuts
  • to warm dates; stir until melted.
  • Cool to room temperature,
  • then spread over crumbs in dish.
  • Whip the cream. Add
  • vanilla; swirl over date mixture in dish.
  • Sprinkle
  • with reserved chocolate cookie crumbs.
  • Garnish with the walnuts. Refrigerate overnight.
