- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. oats, uncooked
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.
- Add flour, soda and salt; mix well.
- Stir in oats, chocolate chips and nuts; mix well.
- Drop by measuring tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for crisp cookie.
- Cool 1 minute, remove to rack, cool completely.
- Makes 5 dozen.
