- 1 can bean sprouts
- 1 can carrots
- 1 can string beans
- 1 can Shoe Peg corn
- 1 can English peas
- 1 can bamboo shoots
- 1 large jar chopped pimento
- 1 (15 oz.) can water chestnuts, cut up
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 diced green pepper
- 1/2 c. Crisco oil
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. white vinegar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- dash of Tabasco
Method
- Drain first 7 ingredients for 1 hour.
- Add water chestnuts, celery, onion and bell pepper.
- Bring remaining ingredients to a boil and pour over vegetable mixture.
- Refrigerate 24 hours.
