Ingredients
- 1 pound round steak
- 2 lg. green peppers
- 1 lg. onion
- 1 can beef consomme
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. water
Method
- Cut round steak in strips and brown in oil.
- Cut onion and green pepper in 1-inch square pcs.
- Add in 3/4 can of consomme and the vegetables to the meat.
- Cover and simmer 1 hour.
- Combine cornstarch, water and soy sauce to make paste.
- Add in to remaining consomme.
- Pour over meat.
- Stir and heat through.
- Serve over rice or possibly chow mein noodles.
