Ingredients

  • 9 ounces ramen noodles chicken flavored
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sesame seeds toasted
  • 1 1/2 cups slivered almonds blanched
  • 3 heads napa cabbage shredded
  • 18 green onions chopped
  • 3 cans chicken breast all white meat
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups rice wine vinegar
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 5 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 5/8 cup white sugar

Method

  • Crush noodles; place them in a medium skillet and brown in butter over medium heat. Add almonds and sesame seeds. Stir often to prevent burning. Add seasoning mix from noodles and cool. Toss in a large bowl with cabbage and onions. Add can of drained chicken broken apart with fork, directly to salad, just prior to adding dressing.
  • Prepare the dressing by whisking together the vegetable oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar
  • Pour over salad, toss and serve.
