Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. butter, margarine or oil
- 6 medium onions, sliced
- 3 lb. ground beef
- 3 cans (20 oz.) tomatoes, crushed
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1 c. beer
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. Tabasco
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder
- 3 cloves garlic
Method
- Melt butter in large saucepan.
- Add onions; cook until tender, not brown.
- Add beef; cook until browned (drain if necessary). Add tomatoes, ketchup, beer, salt, Tabasco and chili powder. Crush garlic and add.
- Cover; simmer 1 hour.
