Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 c. celery
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 28 oz. can whole tomatoes
  • 15 1/2 oz. can chili beans
  • 1 1/2 tsp. mild chili powder (more or less to taste)
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3/4 c. diced carrots
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 oz. can diced green chiles
  • 2 c. cooked macaroni

Method

  • Cook hamburger until almost browned; drain grease.
  • Add onion, celery, garlic and carrots.
  • Season with salt and pepper; saute for 5 minutes.
  • Drain any remaining grease.
  • Add tomatoes, chiles and beans; simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
  • Mix in macaroni. Add chili powder according to your family's taste.
