Ingredients
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 c. celery
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 28 oz. can whole tomatoes
- 15 1/2 oz. can chili beans
- 1 1/2 tsp. mild chili powder (more or less to taste)
- 1 medium onion
- 3/4 c. diced carrots
- salt and pepper
- 4 oz. can diced green chiles
- 2 c. cooked macaroni
Method
- Cook hamburger until almost browned; drain grease.
- Add onion, celery, garlic and carrots.
- Season with salt and pepper; saute for 5 minutes.
- Drain any remaining grease.
- Add tomatoes, chiles and beans; simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
- Mix in macaroni. Add chili powder according to your family's taste.
