Ingredients

  • 4 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 (no. 2) cans red chili beans
  • 2 (no. 2) cans peeled tomatoes
  • 2 c. onions, chopped
  • 2 c. bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 lg. jar Mexene chili powder
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 4 pods garlic
  • 3 jalapeno peppers

Method

  • Cook meat until gray.
  • Blend (in blender) garlic, jalapeno peppers, tomatoes, flour, chili powder.
  • Mix all this with meat. Saute onions and bell pepper with 2 tablespoons cooking oil. Add this and beans with above. Cook slowly 1 & 1/2 hours. Add water for desired thickness. Stir often.
  • Makes approximately 15 pints.
