- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 34 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 (19 ounce) can tomatoes
- 1 (7 1/2 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 (14 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- 2 bay leaves
Method
- In a saucepan, cook until evenly browned, beef, onions and green peppers.
- Stir in rest of ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, cover.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
- Remove bay leaf.
- Serve with hot rolls, and a salad.
