Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. stew beef
  • 1 lb. sausage (roll)
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic (1 Tbsp. powder)
  • 16 oz. tomato sauce
  • 15 oz. pinto beans
  • 15 oz. kidney beans
  • 15 oz. chili beans
  • 2 bags Shelby's chili mix (use only chili powder)

Method

  • Smoke all meats, using oak and hickory.
  • When meat is almost done, in a large pot, combine all the ingredients (except the beans) and add a cup of water.
  • Simmer.
  • When meat is done, cut stew beef into small pieces and break the beef, sausage and turkey up.
  • Add to pot.
  • Continue to simmer for an hour.
  • Add beans and simmer for another hour.
