Ingredients
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 10 1/2 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 3 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Method
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- Coat chicken breasts with flour.
- Melt butter and pour into a shallow baking dish.
- Lay chicken breasts (skin side down) on top of melted butter and bake for 30 minutes. Turn chicken and bake an additional 15 minutes.
- Pour off excess fat.
- Reduce oven temperature to 325°.
- Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
- Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes.
