Ingredients
- 1 lb. boneless chicken breasts
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. minced garlic
- 3 to 4 c. Crisco
- 1 c. finely chopped tomatoes
- 6 Tbsp. chicken broth
- 2 tsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. oregano and chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. tortillas
Method
- Simmer chicken in 10-inch skillet 20 to 25 minutes.
- Remove and cool.
- Shred chicken.
- Saute onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon oil 1 to 3 minutes.
- Mix ingredients and saute 3 to 5 minutes.
- In large skillet, heat 3 to 4 cups oil.
- Fill, fold tortillas and fry.
