Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread, broken
  • 2 c. cooked chicken
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. green pepper
  • 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (sharp)

Method

  • Mix all together and divide between two buttered casseroles. Let stand overnight.
  • Just before baking, combine 1 can mushroom soup, 2 beaten eggs and 1 1/2 cups milk.
  • Pour this over casseroles.
  • Sprinkle more cheese on top and bake until silver knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Bake about 1 hour at 350°.
