Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/4 c. chicken broth or stock
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 2 c. cooked chicken, diced
  • 1 2/3 c. peas and carrots or Veg-All

Method

  • Melt butter for filling in a saucepan.
  • Blend in flour.
  • Add broth, milk and seasoning.
  • Cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Add chicken and vegetables, heat thoroughly.
  • Pour filling into casserole dish.
  • Top with your own pastry crust or Bisquick or ready made pie crust.
  • Bake at 400° (hot oven) 30 minutes or until browned.
