Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 1/4 c. chicken broth or stock
- 1 c. milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 2 c. cooked chicken, diced
- 1 2/3 c. peas and carrots or Veg-All
Method
- Melt butter for filling in a saucepan.
- Blend in flour.
- Add broth, milk and seasoning.
- Cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add chicken and vegetables, heat thoroughly.
- Pour filling into casserole dish.
- Top with your own pastry crust or Bisquick or ready made pie crust.
- Bake at 400° (hot oven) 30 minutes or until browned.
