Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 egg
- 1 can cherry pie filling
Method
- Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Add egg and mix with fork. Press half of the crumb mix into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Spoon cherry pie filling over first layer. Top with remaining crumbs.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream or dust with powdered sugar.
