- 3 large chicken breasts, skinned and boned
- salt to taste
- 6 thin slices lean baked ham
- 6 oz. Swiss cheese in sticks
- 1/4 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 (3 to 4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/3 c. dry white wine
- 1/4 c. Heinz 57 sauce
Method
- Pound chicken to 1/4-inch thickness.
- Season with salt.
- Place ham and cheese stick on each breast and roll up and tie.
- Coat rolls with flour and lightly brown in butter.
- Place in baking dish.
- In same skillet, stir in mushrooms, water, wine and Heinz 57 sauce.
- Heat and pour over chicken.
- Cover and bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes.
- Thicken sauce if desired.
- Serve with rice.
- Great for company!
