Ingredients

  • 3 large chicken breasts, skinned and boned
  • salt to taste
  • 6 thin slices lean baked ham
  • 6 oz. Swiss cheese in sticks
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 (3 to 4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/3 c. dry white wine
  • 1/4 c. Heinz 57 sauce

Method

  • Pound chicken to 1/4-inch thickness.
  • Season with salt.
  • Place ham and cheese stick on each breast and roll up and tie.
  • Coat rolls with flour and lightly brown in butter.
  • Place in baking dish.
  • In same skillet, stir in mushrooms, water, wine and Heinz 57 sauce.
  • Heat and pour over chicken.
  • Cover and bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes.
  • Thicken sauce if desired.
  • Serve with rice.
